Why 1500V
Higher string voltage, lower balance-of-system cost
1500VDC architectures allow longer strings, fewer combiner boxes and less cabling — but every protection component must be rated for the full system voltage. YEPV 1500VDC gPV fuses are tested to IEC 60269-6 with full-range breaking behaviour, so a fault at low overload current is interrupted just as safely as a hard short circuit.
